Internships enable students to use the skills acquired in the classroom in real-world settings. Our students have completed internships at many noted companies and organizations.

CIS Internship Program
CIS 488 is an academic course that CIS students in their junior or senior year applies to in the pursuit of acceptance. Plan to apply 6-months in advance. Some special circumstances may be considered.
Eligibility
- GPA major 2.5 or greater (or with instructor approval).
- 6/8 Required courses completed (some internships will require specific courses completed).
- A CIS professor recommendation within one week of completing the application.**
**They should email Dr. Santa Maria. Acceptable email content: "I recommend 'student's name' to become a student intern".
Uploading Your Résumé
- Résumés must be uploaded within 48-hours of completing the application.
- A gmail account (@gmail.com) is required for uploading.
After Acceptance
- You may receive credit the semester after your acceptance.
- You will gain 3 credits as a CIS elective, CIS488.
- You can remain in the program subsequent semesters, for up to 15 credits (these 12-credits fall into All College Electives, still CIS488).
